Product Overview
This cloth bound cover of The Clans and Tartans of Scotland by Robert Bain was printed in 1953. It's over 70 years old and in decent condition for its age. There is some separation from the spine inside (see photo) and an inscription from the previous owner, dated 1953.
The endboards have a map of Scotland printed on them so you can see territories. The front of the book has a map of Northern Scotland and the back of the book has a map ofSouthern Scotland. There are many clans and their associated histories, family crests, tartans, mottos, name origins and more. This would make a wonderful addition to your Scottish history research library (are you writing the next Outlander?) or display piece for your Scottish pride.
