Product Overview

The Rock and The Sand is a gripping account of events taking place during the 33 years of Christ's life on earth, spanning the most significant event in the world's history, told in terms of men and women who lived through those years, and told in a style and manner befitting its great theme.

It is also the story of the colorful and dramatic Nilah-Leah, half Jewish, half Egyptian, whose infant son is slain during Herod's slaughter of the innocents, and of her cousin and companion, the scholarly and devout Nathan. Nilah-Leah's bitterness and vindictive hostility toward Herod and toward Joseph and Mary and the Child who was spared, are chronicled against the authentic background of the period.

This hardcover, first edition book is very good condition, clearly has been cared for. The dust jacket is in excellent condition, with only minor shelf wear marks and color fading from sun on spine. Pages are straight and intact, with the exception of the lower corner of the first few pages, which have a crease. Appears as new.
